O projecto irá decorrer de Novembro 2017 a Novembro 2018 (12 meses) e terá lugar em Sciacca, em Itália.
As actividades serão desenvolvidas na área social, sendo a Organização de acolhimento nomeadamente no trabalho com pessoas com menos oportunidades, promovendo a inclusão social, de acordo com a experiência e aptidão da voluntária, na Organização de acolhimento Instituto Walden.
Descrição do projeto e Tarefas Principais (em inglês):
The EVS volunteer (female) will be involved in different activities with children and teenagers from 0 to 17 years old, in the educational centers of Sciacca.
The principal tasks they will carry out are:
• Support and help children between 0 and 17 in after school activities, helping them with homework and giving supplementary lessons if needed.
• Organize together with the staff and the local volunteers recreational activities to create moments of animation such as games and workshops on art, music, kitchen, sports
• Organize together with the staff linguistic workshops in English and/or in their own language.
• Organize new events like carnivals, storytelling evenings and outdoor activities in different locations.
• Support the staff and the other volunteers with excursions to the beach, swimming pools and many other kind of activities that take place mostly in summer time
• Help the staff and the local volunteers in food preparation and in cleaning the premises before and after services
WE ARE LOOKING FOR 1 FEMALE VOLUNTEER WITH:
- Knowledge and experience of working with people with fewer opportunities
- Creative, patient, flexible and proactive personality
- Basic skills of Italian language,
- A friendly, communicative and active attitude
- Wishing of development interpersonal relationship
- Strong interest in working with young people with fewer opportunities
- Willingness for live in a small, traditional and provincial town
- Open minded and with a responsible attitude to better understand the learning process and the rules of cohabitation in Walden Institute structures

Strong motivation to have an intensive experience of work with teenagers in difficult situations

Informações logísticas:
Alojamento, transportes locais e alimentação são cobertos a 100% pelo Programa Erasmus+, não existindo qualquer custo para os voluntários.
Despesas de viagem entre Portugal e Itália (ida e volta) 100% cobertas pelo Programa Erasmus+ até ao máximo de 275€/pessoa. É ainda atribuído um pocket money mensal no valor de 120€.
Todos os candidatos, devem:
– Residir legalmente em Portugal;
– Estar interessados(a) na área social, nomeadamente voluntariado com pessoas com menos oportunidades;
– Ter entre 18 e 30 anos de idade;
– Ter conhecimentos da língua inglesa;
– Capacidade para estabelecer prioridades nas suas tarefas;
– Gostar de trabalhar em equipa;
– Ter mente aberta e ser adaptável a novos ambientes e culturas.
– Ser sócio da Associação Spin (obrigatório após a selecção)
