Greetings,
I am from Tunisia and am quite interested in applying to this project. I have two questions if you please;
1. When filling up the form I made an error with the ESC registration number, so I had to resubmit it again with correct information, will that be an issue?
2. Is it necessary to have a sending organization, or can I apply as an individual?
Thank you for your time.
Cordially,
Cyrine
Dear Cyrine, thanks for your interest in SPEAK’s ESC project!
1. No problem, if you submitted the form again, we consider the second one – with correct ESC number;
2. You don’t need to have a sending/supporting organisation for applying to the project. However when candidates are selected for the project, they need a sending organisation in the home country.
Hope to have helped!
Hello, can you help us with visa?
Hi there, thanks for your interest in SPEAK’s ESC project! In case the selected ESC volunteer may need to obtain a visa for staying abroad in, all the participating organisations will provide support for visa’s application. More information in this link. Cheers!

Hi Ekaterina, thanks for your interest in SPEAK’s ESC project! ESC participants must not be older than 30 at the start of the activity. This means that it’s not possible to take part in the project if, at the beginning of the project, you are already 31 years old. Hope to have helped
Good morning!
I’m interested in applying for the project. I was wondering though if it’s mandatory to take part in it for the whole duration or if it’s possible to finish a little earlier (let’s say 2-3 months in advance).
Dear Daniele, thanks for your interest in SPEAK’s ESC project! As written in the call (in “volunteers’ profile” section), since SPEAK’s ESC project is a long-term 1-year project, we are looking for participants who are available to commit to a long term experience of volunteer work abroad. Hope to have helped!
Hello,
I would like to ask if the insurance is covered in this project? I know in the ESC Guide it is mentioned that but I wanted to ask again just in case, because the insurance is one of the important parts for getting a visa. Thank you!
Hi Acelya, thanks for your interest in Speak’s ESC project! European Solidarity Corps programme provides a private insurance, called CIGNA. All volunteers are covered by Cigna that works as a complementary insurance from the EU Health Card.
Hope to have helped!
Good afternoon. Could you please tell me about the sending organization. Is it still needed or not? because your answer above to this question has discrepancies.
“You don’t need to have a sending/supporting organisation for applying to the project. However when candidates are selected for the project, they need a sending organisation in the home country.”
Thank you for your answer.
Hello Christina, thanks for your interest in Speak’s ESC project! If you are selected for the ESC project, you will need a sending/supporting organisation from your home country. When you send an application, you don’t need to have one. In any case, if in your application/form you mention that you are in contact with one, it’s ok as well.
Hope to have helped!
